Storytelling Has The Power To Create Positive Change Beyond The Screen
We Believe In…
…telling stories that inspire, engage, challenge, and make you feel things.
That responsible human storytelling has the power to create positive change beyond the screen.
In elevating voices and the importance of listening.
And in coffee, supportive and inclusive sets, flexibility and non-gatekept intersectional and accountable feminism that benefits all humans.

A lack of affordable, quality, accessible childcare currently costs the UK roughly £28 billion* in lost economic output, increases staff shortages, exacerbates cost of living challenges, widens the gender pay / pension gap, limits representation within leadership teams and policy makers, negatively impacts family mental health and widens the attainment gap.
Yet the issue has a fiscally profitable solution. So why don’t we fix it?
‘Further Together’ is a short documentary that explores the childcare crisis in England, and the ripple effect that an under-funded early years sector alongside a lack of policy-driven support for caregivers can have across society - not just for families, but everyone.
The film was co-Produced by Petra von Schalien and Carly Claydon-Davies, who also Directed, production by Mill Road Collective, and funded by the new 'Early Education and Childcare Coalition’ alongside the Women’s Budget Group. You can view the full film here.
We want to tell more stories that make you feel, learn, wonder, challenge, and listen…
But to do so, the access for storytelling teams that more accurately and fairly reflect the world around us has to improve, which includes actively providing and encouraging flexible working arrangements, more inclusive sets, and no more unpaid internships.
Sponsored by Coffee was originally set up during the pandemic by an exhausted freelance Swedish-but-kinda-London-based Producer/LP (with an extensive background of delivering content across live broadcast, global commercial and branded campaigns, short-docs) and mama (see exhausted). Hi, that’s me! Lovely having you here!
Having had the pleasure of supporting a wide range of clients with content tailored for a variety of audiences and formats, I wanted to begin more consciously shifting focus to telling stories that could support positive change, with slightly more freedom to work with even more varied teams of storytellers who could all benefit from a flexible approach. A lot of the content on here still involves freelance-style or co-prod work alongside original content.
